Canada Day at Fort St. James National Historic Site: FREE ADMISSION 9am-5pm

RAILS, TAILS AND COLOUR ON DOMINION DAY AT FORT ST. JAMES NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE st promises to be a lively and colourful affair in Fort St. James when activities and festivities come to life at the national historic site. This year, the tradition of fun and lively events continues with a little help from our friends. Daily Adventures and Tasty Experiences programs. Whether it’s learning the ancient techniques of a master hunter, spinning wool for an important project or taking in an interpretive talk about beaver pelts and their use, something for everyone is truly available at Fort St. James this year. Prince George Railway and Forestry Museum, an important partner in the Golden Raven program, will be bringing their exciting mini-rail train to Fort St. James for this special day. Khas T’an Outdoor Adventures, a local Fort St. James company renowned for it’s quality horsemanship lessons, will also take to the fields and offer horseback rides for kids of all ages. This, plus the pomp of raising the Maple Leaf over the tallest flagpole around, will all help to create a magical day for visitors.
